Ralph Acampora welcomed members and guests and thanked the
hostesses Debbie and Kay for bringing in goodies to share before the meeting
Secretary / Minutes:
The proposed minutes for the (current month) June 2014
General Membership Meeting will be on the SHGC website for review within a week
of this meeting.
(Previous month) May 2014 minutes was presented by
Barb Nelson and seconded by Gary Kullock. The minutes of the May
2014 General Meeting are now approved.
Pat Gilliland reports our current balance is $3,060.67
Geri Yerkes reports 86 members.
Plant exchanges and sale
at the SHGC meetings will alternate every other month.
Next month, July 16, at the SH museum will be
a plant sale – Please bring nice
plants to offer for sale to increase the donation funds given to needy causes
at the end of the year.
Two positions are open that need a chairperson for Publicity and
Garden Awards.Please contact Ralph if
you are willing to help out.
Upcoming suggestions for Field trips this year.Carol Zieres is looking into a 2day bus trip
to Gainesville in March 2015.Also a
trip to Selby Gardens in October 2014
More information will be given at a later date.
Chuck and Karla Lynde talked about a new program starting in
Safety Harbor – Little Free Books Boxes – several options for the Garden club
to participate and sponsor this project – monetary donation for supplies, time
to build the boxes and decorate them.Anyone interested can contact them at 272-797-1743.
