The treasurer reported the current balance is $2651.14.

Sharen thanked Lori for the setup for the brunch and the folks that brought the wonderful food. The visitors were welcomed, introduced and related how they came about being at the meeting.
Sharen announced that starting in September the meetings will be held at Moccasin Lake Park, 2602 Park Trail Lane, Clearwater. Renovations have been done to the meeting space. It was suggested to use the Drew Street entrance, less complicated. We will be getting directions and information out to the group.
There will be a “Kick Off” pot luck on August 15th which will be held at Honeymoon Mobile Home Park. It will start at 11:00 am and end around 2:00 pm. This luncheon is celebrating our new meeting facility.
Gisella reported that the Non-Profit Fair held at the Public Library on May 23rd hosted 36 booths. Information on the Safety Harbor Garden Club was given out. Our club raffled off a plant donated by Barbara which Nadine Nickerson won. Sharen, Nancy and Gisella showcased our club to the community.
Volunteers are needed to help weed and maintain the Garden Club’s plot of plants at Mullet Creek Park in Safety Harbor. On Wednesday June 27, we will start at 7:30 am and we should be finished before it gets too hot. Bring a shovel and any garden tools you can.
Committee members are needed to lead and help organize the many projects that have to be done in the new year. Please think about it and find an area that interests you. The PLANT SALE, CHRISTMAS PARTY, a GROUP TRIP and the PICNIC next year are priority at this time.
Sandy Huff announced that the Native Plant Society will be on Main Street in Dunedin on Wednesday, July 11th.
Cheryl Swartsel from Skips Florist and Christmas House of Holiday, gave a very interesting presentation on Flower Arranging. She donated 3 arrangements that she created for auction, giving the proceeds to the club! She invited the club members to visit Skips and they would do a floral arranging class and arrange for lunch.
